Residential - Single Family Homes Residential projects have special meaning. These projects enable us to enhance the daily lives of people for whom we care. A special bond develops as we define a family´s wish list and convert this list into a more unique design. The process is not an easy one. Many hours of thought and design go into the creation. We start with a visit to the site to study the views, vistas, vegetation and orientation, and then begin our design with simple, free-hand sketches. Next, we move on to design development with floor plans and elevations. Consultations are held often as the design moves ahead. A model is created, enabling the client to visualize their new home, identifying each area. Finally, complete construction drawings and specifications are drafted. A team is formed with the owner as the lead, followed by the architect, interior designer and contractor. Other consultants may be brought in such as lighting, media and landscaping. Also adding to the process is the need to know the various codes, include City, Regional Dwelling and C.A.B.O. During construction we meet at the job site to monitor standards, quality and selection of special items and built-ins. We review the contractor´s payment requests and weekly scheduling, and act as the liaison between owner and contractor. This team approach guarantees a smooth transition from groundbreaking to move-in and often culminates with the final landscape and site improvements.
